Star Trek Diversity sucks.
"Star Trek White Males Need Not Apply" is going nowhere. But not as much for its blatant racism and sexism as a flawed revenue model. Fragmenting the streaming media market further to extract ever greater profit is a non-starter. Wall Street and Hollywood haven't been paying attention. Game over.
they purposely left out the gay ass left wing agenda out of the trailer to suck in more viewers. sad, I used to like st
Star Trek fans: Always open minded and looking toward the future...until you do something that's even slightly different.
If we were to follow along the progressive trajectory favored by today's SJW writers, there would be no diversity to celebrate among the Terrans of 2255.
Not in ethnicity, not in culture, not in thought, not in options.
Im superrr excited to watch this! I love the cast -----however! I'm sad it's a prequel (please stop this. Enterprise was bad enough), and I'm sad that it's trying too hard to be edgy. This is why I don't like star wars the emphasis is too much on trying to be edgy, big and epic. I love the star trek series (excluding enterprise) becuase though there are some very epic moments, it also consists of very well developed characters, focuses in on character relations and innovative (even for today) sci-fi plots. I know I don't just speak for myself when I say that we don't watch Star Trek for the special effects! It's the great writing! I'm nervous all this frou frou cgi is gonna end up being the focus. BUT, this only consist of smal clips and I'm going to go into this with an open mind, unlike some of y'all who have already decided to hate it based on shorts clips. I reaaalllyyy want this to be good. Vulcans are my favorite species and I'm so happy that she is going to be the lead! Also the super badass Michelle Yeoh??? Amazing cast, cool effects; I just hope that it retains the humorous, thoughtful, exciting dialogue and unapologetic geekery that we love from Star Trek.
oooh the pandering is epic here.
Anyone else think it's telling that a spoof is getting a more positive response than Discovery? By leaps and bounds at that. Between this and Axanar it seems CBS just can't make a get it right.
Star Wars, Mass effect, and now Star Trek. SJW's ruin everything they touch.
95% people angry over people being angry about the diversity in the cast
5% people actually angry about the diversity in the cast
This is not a role for Sonequa Martin-Green, so bad.
Makes you wish for the Star Trek series that emphasized philosophy, diplomacy, just war theory, and all the other meaty topics of substance that made Star Trek, well, Star Trek. I feel like now it's just turning into boom-booms and pew-pews. Granted, all we've seen is a trailer. So it could be good. Could be.
Stop letting interns make the title sequences plz. Wtf is that badge? Looks like a chocolate bar wrapped in gold foil.
The Orville looks better
love it can not wait looks like a mix of design astetics from both the new movies and star trek enterprise wich is awesome
This show is revolting horse shit. White men invented almost everything. White men invented airplanes, jet engines, rockets, cars, computers, cell phones, and almost all science & math. Making a negro woman the lead character and an Asian woman the captain is bull fucking bull shit. This is so fucking far from real life, it's ridiculous. I will watch 1 episode of this abortion / train wreck only out of curiosity, then never again. Fuck the jews. They are responsible for all this SJW bullshit. Jews are trying to destroy the white race and western civilization. I think this series will crash and burn pretty quickly.
The technology may be brilliant in Star Trek Discovery but the casting is horrific. The lead role of captain should have gone to an Asian Male actor. Hollywood and the media have stereotyped and emasculated Asian men in every aspect of the
media. The questioning of their masculinity to the size of their reproductive organ. Having an Asian male Captain could reverse some of those stereotypes and Star Trek is a venue to redefine the Asian male in the media.
